Answers to Questions I’ve been asked about tight pelvic floor muscles, tight anus and how it relates to erection quality.

Q.

I’m fine getting erections but when I do my anus can tighten when my erection pulsates. I like to have my anus played with and sometimes it gets too tight when Iโ€™m excited and my dick pulsates. Is there any exercise that can help me relax my anus so that doesnโ€™t happen? And are there any videos currently on your site that covers this?

Practice in relaxing your anus will help – in this video when doing a contraction phase I emphasise the relaxation phase as being just as important for many reasons including what you describe. If you have no erection problems and simply want to relax a tight pelvic floor you can try this:

  • do the contraction phase as in video, but at just 25% intensity for around 10 seconds – just so you ‘connect’ your mind to the working muscles and aware
  • Then focus upon allowing these muscles to relax over the next 20 seconds.
  • really ‘tuning in’ and connecting your mind will allow this relax to happen more swiftly – in time and with practice

Tip – relaxing your whole body will help your pelvic floor muscles to relax more:

  • making your out breath, longer than the in breath will help.
